Long time no post

cf here: my blog

Well, a lot changed the last weeks and I was very busy whole time but today it’s the 3. oct and so it’s a free day in Germany. I remembered of this 140-days-project and have to edit it into a 230-day-project, I think. Because of the really shitty payment I get from work all the plans to travel and live in Poland are destroyed now and I will start to work in another architects-office in the time from january to end of march 2013. So I hope I will get new experiences of working in more offices than just in one and if it all works I can say I had worked in 4 offices before end of studies and in one of this offices I worked twice.

It’s hard to see that someone who is just one year before graduation will get less money than a non-specialist gets for example in a supermarket. If you apply for a short-time job in the sector you specialize in, you will be seen as an intern and you can say what u want they slave-drive you. I’m really thinking of just quitting this job and start working at a supermarket or at the security sector again.  Working there is much more fun because your fellows are much nicer most time… not that kind ofvain people. Even your supervisors are more human.

Some times I think, yeah working there is quite a good and fun thing because they ‘use me’ as a graphic artist and at the moment this is really the stuff I love… but we have there Photoshop 6… no CS before the number, no… the real “Photoshop 6″ … so it has no tools I am used to use… it’s quite not possible to work good with it. The computer is the slowest one in the universe I think and .. well, yeah. I am not happy about taking my own hardware to the office for this payment so I stopped it because for the few cents they pay per hour they can really wait for the work (pictures) getting ready.

I am wondering how offices make it like they do. Why the hell are all students or interns willing to work for this shitty payment. Most of them have better qualifications with modern software than their fellows and are teaching them or take loads of work from them to make it better or more efficient. Why is qualification and work not worth to be payed? Thinking of really becoming a freelancer in visualization is more often in the last weeks because this is the work what makes me really happy, in what I forget time… working with PS is really a thing what makes me calm and I can spend my whole free time with it. Sitting at work with this super-slow computer I am looking forward to get home to my loved iMac with the (now old but relative new) PS CS5.

But stopping now talking from work… On the other hand it’s really great to live in Berlin again, except of the fact that my ‘flat’ is really out of the city. Okay, in fact it’s in the city but close to nowhere so I need one hour to get to work every day and this is another fact what brings me into a bad mood every day. Wasting 2 hours a day to get to a work where I waste another 9 hours a day in which I could earn much more money in a simply other job in a supermarket I need maybe 5 minutes with bike to. But… yes, this is how it works in this world if you do not get enough money to have an own flat. – If you break into a bank and get nicked you will have less problems b/c of ‘flat’, food and work. There they care for you better than every boss will do. … but… I wanted to stop thinking about work, didn’t I?

Last weeks I visited some concerts in Berlin, they were great. Men with guitar most time, some times bands, some times girls with men with guitar… Yeah, I love it ;) It’s so nice to meet somebody from Canada if you visit a gig in Berlin and meet people from Germany if you visit a gig in London. World is funny. And I think I maybe have to chance my point of view on people meeting in clubs. If there wasn’t my lovely friend who started to talk to some people (because I think she is talking to everyone and everywhere) I wouldn’t have met or noticed some really nice guys. Usual I ignore all people in clubs because I am used that they are all stupid and drunk and… did I say stupid? I think I have to revise it but it will be hard because long-standing conditioning can’t be easy changed. I have to work on it (:

Well, now the part belonging to the picture on top. Last week I was on the Tempelhofer Field in Berlin with my old friend who wanted to show me kiting and boarding and stuff. I saw them often (nearly every day) when I travel to work because the Sbahn and the Autobahn passes this area. It’s really fun to hold a kite in your hands but it needs a lot of routine and enthusiasm. But it’s really good to be outside if you are used to be in a stuffy and dark office (I could start again thinking about… no… I will not). This friday I will be there again just after work and maybe on saturday and sunday too, but that is not sure.
